Sober Living

Sober living today is much more than just a flop house lay over for drug addicts and alcoholics waiting for the next drug run or binge. Today sober living homes are increasing due to the high volume of recovery addicts and alcoholics coming from substance abuse treatment centers. These individuals are coming from all parts of the United States looking for a fresh start. They are looking to achieve long term sobriety, pick up the pieces and continue on a path that fulfilling. Most recovering addicts and alcoholics today are young, educated and bright individuals who started using at a very early age. Most of today’s addicts and alcoholics in sober living homes have the ability to find employment, keep long term employment and become very successful in the business world. The recovering addicts and alcoholics that we see today have not been homeless for any long period of time, they have not been incarcerated numerous times and they have not lost everything “yet”. For some of these reasons, sober living homes have changed from the old dirty flop houses to semi private luxury apartments or town homes aimed to accommodate their needs.
